Car Rental
It is highly reccomended to rent a car if you are planning to visit some of the surrounding areas of Bergen. There is a big choice of different daytrips you can take with Bergen as a base, for example to the beautiful Hardangerfjord, just a couple of hours away scattered with high peeks and beautiful small places like the Barony Rosendal. Make sure you ask for your car to be equipped with GPS so you don't get lost on the Norwegian countryside!

If you pickup the rental car at the airport you can follow the road 580/ E39 towards Flesland from Bergen centre. The trip usually takes approximately 30 minutes, up to an hour during rush-hours.
