Bergen can be proud to have a rich cultural heritage with several world famous musicians like Edvard Grieg and Ole Bull. These days a number of bands and musicians from Bergen have made their entry on the world stage, most notably Kings of Convenience, Röyksopp and Sondre Lerche.
Sondre Lerche
Sondre Lerche was born in Bergen in 1982 and was brough up facinated by pop bands like a-ha, Beach Boys and Prefab Sprout. His debut album Faces Down received praise in the international press and Rolling Stones Magazine placed it among the top 50 albums in 2002. Sondre Lerche Phantom Punch
Lerche is married to Norwegian model and actress Mona Fastvold. They married in the Norwegian church in New York in June 2005. Sondre met Mona during the recording of the music video "Days that are over" where Fastvold played Lerche's girlfriend.
He was a guest in the Late Show with David Letterman in 2007.
